What pslify does with your photo, your account and your data

2026/08/01

Who we are

pslify.com ("pslify", "we") is an AI face-rating tool operated by an individual developer, not a company. You can reach us at any time at akang@fantasybyte.cn; we reply within 3 business days.

This policy covers pslify.com and everything served from it.

Your photo — the short version

We never store your photo. When you upload a selfie, it is held in memory for the length of that single request, sent to our AI provider for scoring, and discarded. It is never written to disk, never saved in our database, and never attached to your account. If you close the tab and come back, the photo is gone — only the score remains.

Your photo — the detail

  • What happens. Your photo is sent to our servers as part of one request and forwarded to OpenAI's vision API, which returns scores and written feedback. We keep the scores and the text. We do not keep the image.
  • Who sees it. Only OpenAI, acting as our processor. OpenAI states that data submitted through its API is not used to train its models and is retained only for a limited period for abuse monitoring. We have no other AI provider and we do not share your photo with anyone else.
  • We do not identify you. pslify does not run face recognition. We do not build a face template, a faceprint or any other biometric identifier, we do not match your photo against any database, and we cannot tell who you are from it. The photo is scored and thrown away. Because we never use it to identify a person, we do not treat it as biometric data — but if you would rather not upload a face at all, the manual calculator gives you a score from measurements alone.
  • Not used for training. We do not use your photo to train, fine-tune or improve any model, ours or anyone else's.

What we actually store

WhatWhyHow long
Your score, tier, percentile, category breakdown and written feedbackSo your result has a stable link you can revisit and shareUntil you ask us to delete it
A random result ID (the /result/... link)SameSame
Your IP address and the outcome of each rating requestAbuse prevention and rate limiting only90 days
Aggregate events: which locked module was clicked, a score band, mobile or desktop, traffic sourceTo learn which features people want. Deliberately contains no ID, no IP and no exact score, so these rows cannot be traced back to a personIndefinitely, as anonymous counts
Account data if you register: name, email, avatar, and which provider you signed in withTo give you an account, credits and your report historyUntil you delete your account
Credit balance and transaction historyTo run the paid report and honour refundsUntil you delete your account, then as long as accounting rules require
In-depth reports you have generated: scores and written text, linked to your accountSo you can re-open a report you paid forUntil you delete your account
Your email, if you join a waitlistTo tell you when that feature shipsUntil you unsubscribe

Result links are public

Every rating gets a link like pslify.com/result/abc123. Anyone with that link can open it, and it renders a preview image when shared. The link contains no photo and no name — but treat it as public, and don't share it more widely than you mean to. Ask us and we will delete any result.

Who else processes your data

We use a small number of providers, each for one job:

  • OpenAI — scores your photo and writes the feedback (see above).
  • Creem — our merchant of record. Creem handles the entire checkout and is the seller on your receipt and card statement. Card details never reach our servers; we receive only confirmation that a purchase succeeded, plus the billing email and country Creem passes back.
  • Vercel — hosting.
  • Neon — our PostgreSQL database.
  • Resend — transactional email (sign-in, receipts, password resets).
  • Google Analytics — page-level traffic statistics, via cookies. See our Cookie Policy. You can block it with any ad blocker or browser tracking protection and the site works normally.

These providers are located in the United States and elsewhere, so using pslify means your data is transferred internationally.

What we do not do

  • We do not sell your data, and never have.
  • We do not share it with advertisers or data brokers.
  • We do not use your photo or your results for marketing.
  • We do not run ads on pslify.

Your rights

Whatever country you are in, you can ask us to:

  • tell you what we hold about you,
  • correct it,
  • delete it — your account, your results, your reports, all of it,
  • or export it.

Email akang@fantasybyte.cn and we will action it within 30 days, free of charge. If you are in the EU or UK you also have the right to object to processing and to complain to your local data protection authority. If you are in California, you have the rights described in the CCPA, including the right not to be discriminated against for exercising them.

Children

pslify is not intended for anyone under 16, and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has used the site, email us and we will delete the data.

Security

Traffic is encrypted with HTTPS. Passwords are hashed, never stored in plain text. Access to the production database is limited to the operator. No system is perfectly secure and we will not pretend otherwise — but because we never store your photo, the most sensitive thing you give us is also the thing we hold for the shortest time.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page. If a change is significant and you have an account, we will email you.
